Open Your Eyes

A poem I wrote based off of my feelings and someone else's.

Open your eyes in wonder
Hear the whispers of the wind
Forget the painful memories
Of what life once had been

Free your soul from sadness
Feel the sun's cleansing rays
Its time to listen to your heart
Ignore the mean things they say


Throw your self up to the clouds
Cutting all of your ties
Dance around your finally free
Open your heart to the sky

Now its time to close your eyes
Let yourself drift off to sleep
Now you have nothing left to fear
For your soul safely we shall keep
