This is a poem about depression, but also about how a gloomy day makes it worse. |
| Dreary sky that dampens spirits Hides the sun beneath the darkness Roaring clouds come to threaten Chasing away the brightness Enveloping joy in a blanket Of gloom, despair, and sadness Heavy clouds ready to burst To spill their sorrow Memories that were long forgotten Buried deep beneath the surface Creep upon me, fast and violent Bearing their ugly head Smiles that shift to frowns The storm sits still, waiting Engulfing me in fear and anguish Depression, a lifeless feeling |
