Revelation

The feelings inside reveal to others
what is not always meant to be seen.
So delicate, only the touch of innocence
can set them free.
She longs desperately for a glimpse
And wonders if it is real.
Wonders if it’s possible to set them free.
She wonders if there’s someone out there.
A helping hand to lend;
An escape from the fall.

Lost in a sea of people.
The lights fade in and out,
It’s only an illusion.
Her mind wanting what it cannot have.
Lost in a sea of people—

But,
A smile spreads across her face.
It was always there;
Everyday with her.
Everynight by her side.
Never straying, never faltering.
Never questioning, always forgiving.
Her hope, her salvation
Her escape, from the fall.
