poem that I wrote for my mother on Mother's day, 2007.

My Mother

My mother gave us life
my brothers, sisters and me

My mother gave us life
she taught us how to be.

My mother told us lots of things
that we still say today.

My mother taught us everything
and we use it everyday.

Our kid's have often told us,
that's a grandma thing

To me there is no greater honor
than becoming that kind of being.

I think she knows we love her
I think she knows how much

I think she knows we'll miss her
and every little touch.

But we will perservere
because we all are strong.

Our Mother is behind us
We know we can't go wrong.

My mother gave us life
