Missing You

Missing the one you love

I wake in the middle of the night
I stretch my arm across to touch you
But you aren't there.
I lie awake for hours wishing that i could feel your skin beneath my hand
to encircle you in my arms and feel your breathing against my chest
I miss you when we are apart
I miss knowing that you are in bed beside me.
I love you with all my heart and soul
With every breath I take.
