This is a poetry reflecting the feelings of a Palestinian orphan losing his only companion |
| His eyes seemed so peaceful With his hands resting on his chest His complexion, so pale His lips, as red as blood He was all I had left And now he is gone But I know that he has gone to a better place Guarded by Holy Angels in the presence of the Al-Mighty? What could be more beautiful? The thought of him leaving through an Israeli bullet Leaves me incomplete to this very day I knew he could have died a more peaceful death But perhaps God willed him to be a martyr You will always be my hero, my little brother You were there when I had to bury father, mother and sister Comforting me after we lost our home and our family So I dedicate this to you O little one! So that your memory may live forever And so I can meet you in the Heavens And I promise you that your passing will not be in vain That I shall do my very best to bring justice in the Name of God So that our nation can be liberated with the blood of you and me |
