Perpetual Dream

Everyday I wake up
I tell myself
It's just a dream
Force myself to make it through the day
Before I lie down
I wish on all the stars
Daylight breaks
My eyes havent shut
Go to sleep I whisper
When you awake
All shall be well
Closing my eyes and hoping
After a restless "sleep"
Filled with all my fears
I open my eyes
Only to find what I knew I would
Regretfully I arise
Of course,
The perpetual dream
Is where I am again.
