Hearts Desire

This is a short peom about how love is not what others may want for you.

We live day to day pretending to be fine.
Finding some reason or excuse to live out our existence,
never admitting what we truly want or feel.

Only if to please others, not our selves, not our hearts.
To deny your hearts desire is to deny yourself.
It is benumbing, the more we do the less we feel.

Oh but the follow your own path.
You to yours and me to mine,
against the will of others, to our social demise.
Would give love eternal, and a dark existence become a light in all dar places.

So let us now release ourselves from the darkness of this so called life.
And follow our hearts to each other.
Become our own light, start anew, and truly live.
