I live on

For my Grandfather, who I never had the chance to meet. I hope I have not disappointed.

I await the day of my demise, and for my name, it will be cast aside. No more slander to be spread. No longer the need to bask in pride. My legacy strippred and taken as his own. The only thing that keeps me alive: he lives on. Not me, yet still a part. May the wisdom I shared keep him on top. And may the memory of me be his rock. Keeping him safe, and to others may he not flock. I've prayed for this day all my life. Finally, the time time has come for me to rest. Now it is his turn to take this test.
