Dream

Was bored and couldn't sleep

I have a dream this day,
Oh how I hope this dream will stay.
I have a twinkle in my eye,
Can they see it as they pass me by?
I now have hope to see the dawn.
Now I know I will go on.
I know I will have to face the tide,
At least I know who's on my side.
We together have strength divine.
Alone I have no chance to survive.
I hate myself every now and then,
However I know the love of a friend.
Friends give me strength from day to day,
Even if I may stumble on my way.
I must leave but I shall return,
To see once again the faces I now yearn.
I have a dream this day,
Oh how I pray this dream will stay.
