Blue Calm

This is a poem about intense new beginnings in a fresh relationship.

When I look into the blue of your eyes
a serene calmness over comes me.
I feel as refreshed as if I had been in a raging summer storm
and all of a sudden the clouds rool away
and the warm sun beats down and dries where the cold rain has been.
Your a breath of fresh air every time I see you.
Upon first seeing you words escape me.
I catch my breath,
stumble,
then try to rapidly regain myself
so as not to let you see the naked emotion in my eyes.
When you touch me I tremble.
You ignite every nerve ending in my body with want.
When you speak to only me
I see nor hear anything else.
You make me feel I am all that matters at that moment.
I'm afraid of you.
I'm intimidated by you.
I need you.
