Pain

my thoughts on the concept of pain

A friend nobody wants around
That still shows up anyway
And leaves us much stronger
When its gone away

Pain builds us up
Shakes our foundations
Makes us question our decisions
Gets us mad sometimes
And makes us fight

But in the long run
Its our choice really
Whether to fall into self pity
Or rise better day
Whether to let the pain eat us up
Or gain strenght from it

Nobody is without pain
So my advice is this
Get over it
Get back in there
Look out for the silver lining
And smile through your pain
