The Last Time

My first shot at a 55 word contest.

Harriet looks down over the city, again. She tells herself, this is the time; the last time she will ever stand above the world. She takes a deep breath, but before she can leap she hears a cry. She recognizes this scream; without thinking she turns on the spot retreating from where she had come.
