Something I wrote for English in year 7 about 9/11

September the 11th was like someones worst nightmare
Like waking from a bad and frightening dream
Like all the clocks in the world froze
And even time itself stopped dead
Like switching off a light
Like leaving a room as dark as the night sky
Like birds fighting over food as the second tower crumbled
Like the long bellow of a ships horn
Like dominoes crashing to the ground
Like a child destroying lego
Like a fire that wouldn’t stop burning
Like a day without sun
Like a face behind a mask
Like a dream that went horribly wrong.
