Tear drops fall like rain
warm hand prints on the window pane
so many things in life are unexplained
The birds singing at the break of dawn
the wonderful smell of a fresh cut lawn
yet sometimes life makes me feel like a pawn

rippling waves of emotion they say
like the wind whispering across the grass
on a warm spring day
my spirit soars as it glides beautiful in its time
wings filled with hope
with all this I can shine
my heart is a burning ember of trust
knowing that I will wake up tomorrow
