my best friend, my brother

This is a poem to one of my very best friends
Whom i've known for what seems like forever
Whose arms close around me, and i feel so safe
so loved
I have missed you for so long and cannot wait til you are home
back here with me
I thought i knew my true feelings for you
But now i have opened my eyes to see that my feelings are so different from what i thought they were and think they should be
Because i feel so strongly
I write this for you, My big brother,
The best friend i could ever have
