A cold winter night
When it all seemed so right
The future seemed so bright

Young lovers underneath an enchanted star
Dreams that would carry us so far

Laughter in your eyes
Stars filled the skies

Only time has driven us apart
Torn and broken my heart

Wondering where you've gone
It's been so long

Wondering if you think of me
Have you forgotten me totally

Thinking all too often of the past
and a love that would always last

The times I've reached out for you
Only to begin the search anew

Remembering your eyes
Underneath those starry skies

So near yet so far
Wishing again for a time with you under that star
