A Sinister Elegance

I have a series of poems about vampires that I am most proud to share with you.

As it is, you are a beautiful creature
with an intense and also vapid feature
such an appealing and alluring art
of enticing with poise this burdened heart
when love collides with death this night
in the weakened glow of a pale moonlight
raptured in my lovers strong arms
confident that he means me no harm
the desire in his warm embrace
brings a lust so full of haste
such eagerness to love and please
to set my anguished mind at ease
a confident disposition enthralled in bliss
such torment lingers on his lips
lifeless i lay in his arms
as he turns on all of his feeble charms
he leans in, hovers, above my head
a pleasure filled bite assures me i'm dead
but i am still alive, stuck between the two
now we share this curse, just me and you.
