Must my final vows
be with him and not with you?

Beloved,
why did you leave me
so soon before our day?
Forced am I to forever more
endure another's company,
my heart grieves yours.

I'll wait for the day
when heavens gate opens,
and takes my weeping soul
back up in its healing arms.

I will bask in your company
once more and forever more,
and joyous cheers will arise...
Tears of light will shed from eyes
and our hearts torn in two
may again be whole.

Although now the pain comes
in waves of uncontrollable pangs.
My heart wavers
between one life and the next...

I long to be with you
yet I fear the passing,
I ask for your forgiveness
for I cannot come to you yet...

If I force my way up
I will surly fall,
for our lord almighty
insists that we wait.

Only time may tell
if my soul can heal,
But forever are our hearts
bound together,
for true love will always last.
