Another Tear

A poem about when everything feels wrong and nothing feels right

A tear slipped out of her eye
Followed by another
Followed by another
She didn’t want to cry
But she needed to
As her world crumbles beneath her
And people drift away
Happiness becomes just a distant memory
One replaced with hurt and pain
She wiped away the tear
But another fell in its place
She had made the world crumble
She had forced the people away
She had made happiness a distant memory
But she wanted that to change
She wanted to feel warmth inside
To erase the pain
She wanted to remember how good life felt
But tomorrow was just another day
