Darkness...again

Alone in the dark...again

Darkness, depriving day light.
An empty void.
A bitter end.
A world unknown,
beyond the light.

Unseeable,
hiding things from human eyes.
A blanket smothering the world,
sending darkness along like lies.

Few lights may shine,
far away.
Casting shadows,
along the way.

Alone again,
the light put out.
Unable to see.
With only the darkness,
to comfort me.
