Still Swimming

poem with deeper meaning.

Cast out among the other fish
the beautiful tiger lilly swims
she appears old and her fins are torn
yet there is still something magnificant about her
something he could not change
It was this bright light that attracted him in the first place
yet his misunderstanding of it powerful force
that has brought them here
separated, apart. alone.
She will never be the same
though her light may dim it will never extinguish
Swimming still among the rest
If you really look
the difference is undeniable.
