I feel the pain of a million years,
I feel the pain of a million tears.

Days alone,
Night alone.

Wanting to die,
Not wanting to die alone.

Wanting to be remembered,
Wanting to be known.

Wanting to be held,
Wanting to be home.

Wanting to be wanted,
Yearning for love.

Looking in the wrong places,
Always being shunned.

You don’t matter,
We don’t care,
Leave us alone,
We don’t want you near.

Go away!
Be gone!
They say.

Running and hiding
Inside my head.
Sometimes hiding
Beneath the bed.

Wish for love,
Wishing for hope.

Hopeless again,
Hopeless tomorrow.

Days of hopelessness
Me they follow.
