Love Lost

Just something I am playing with.

He grew to be a part of me
He gave me love eternally.
He made me feel that I was free
Free to laugh, and cry and be.

He left one day to fight for me
He had to make our life easy.
He went into a darkened night
A night that somehow filled with plight.

I heard the news within an hour
The grief, the sadness, then the sorrow.
My world had crashed and tumbled down
Descending about without a sound.


My heart was filled with misery
My head refused to even believe.
Now as I sit here next to the sea
No laughter or tears will come from me.
