A poem inspired by the movie "Eraserhead". Haven't seen it? Watch it. |
| "In Heaven, everything is fine." That's what she said With a warm inviting smile. Her beauty may have been masked, physically, But her words withdrew this illusion. In Heaven, everything is fine; Such a promise, It seems unreal. Yet her never-faltering smile seems to Reassure me; It's truth, It has to be.. In Heaven, everything is fine. Oh, how I long for such a Heaven, Where you've got your nice things, And I've got mine. It's the ultimate ending. The ultimate beginning. In Heaven, everything is fine. Finally this promise has become Way too enticing for me to pass up. I want everything to be fine. I want you to have your nice things, And, more importantly, I want to have mine! I reach for her inviting hand. She smiles, (Well, continues to smile) And then she's gone. "In Heaven, everything is fine." I'm sure it is, I only wish I could know this in certainty. |
