Lost

A poem of a love that is lost, for really no apparent reason.

Trapped in a world
where I don't want to be
knowing that I have no other place
having no future to see

Sadness and despair surrounds me
I know I no longer love him
like it should be
Too scared to leave, too bored to stay
all thats left are my dreams
of a magical day

He looks at me, with sadness in his eyes
wondering why
what happened, where did it go?
The love we shared, so long ago?

Now I sit
Alone in my world
Looking for that light
that surrounded us for so long
I know its there, I feel the heat
I just don't seem to find it
in my heart

I know he loves me,
I feel it in my soul.
but does he know,
my soul?
