The Night's Sea

A Poem about the double nature of love

It seemed to me
on that endless sea
That our journey together
Maybe impossible to weather

But then in the dark
I saw not a shark
but a rare gleam of light
shining deep into the night.

A lighthouse I thought
grabbing the camera I bought.
Just as I steadied my hand
I could no longer see the light on the land.

I turned to you for inspiration
but you are no use on vacation
in your own world you lie
Why did I marry this guy?

It was dark thats true
But I was counting on you
I heard the music from inside
It required a 1, 2 stride.

You asked me to dance
I wecomed the chance.
For its been so long
Since Ive heard our song.

And then again with the light
As you held me tight
Who cares anymore?
Im with the one I adore.
