Is it possible to feel the sensation of loneliness without the use of the word?

pitch black
a flower stands on a rock
no sun to warm its petals
just darkness chilling its scent
not a leaf to comfort its stem
a blade of grass has never touched the rock
a flower has never shared the rock

the shadow of a bird overhead
the noise of a grasshopper
the presence of an ant
is unknown to this flower

this flower has never
felt the company of a companion
been affected with affection
laughed over laughter
heard sounds of a sound

this flower knows no solidarity
this flower only knows pitch black
standing on a rock next to isolation
