The rolling hills
The open plains
The tall green trees
and the wet, cool rain
The flowing rivers
the chirping birds
the deer on the horizon
and the buffalo herds
The glow of the fire
the horses running free
the children playing
and the buzzing of the bees
these are the things
the Native people loved
from mother earth
to the stars above
