If a teacher knew...

I wrote this in class.. just a little something that came to mind :)

If a teacher knew
Every child's story;
If a teacher saw through
Every child's eyes;
If a teacher listened to
Every child's words;
If a teacher walked
Every child's first steps;
If a teacher read
Every child's thoughts;
If a teacher tasted life's bitterness
As every child does;
Then maybe they would understand
