A nature poem about spring and love |
| A Wish The white stark birch Bends long and lean Against the blue sky, Lonely in a cold wind Blowing chilly from the north, Guarding the red cabin Huddled in the woods, A companion of black crows Heralding the new spring, Welcoming the lively brook, A muse, a dream it must be Wintry and barren, Yet ready soon to bloom afresh For my love and for me. |
