How Much Longer

I was in the Army in Germany, my new wife was still stateside. Arrghh!

          How much longer?

This timeless space in my being,

fraught with nibbling little

fears of this
                  non-reality

being my true existence?

                            And you
at best a memory,
                            or worse-

only a fabrication of my desires!




          If aloneness is reality,

then I choose to sink into
the deepest catatonic reaches

          -and dwell therein with you!
