It's about a maple leaf that if still green in the winter.

Dripping wet with melted snow
Tiny like a mouse

Giving color to a white world
A bit of green on the pristine snow
The water makes it look fresh and alive
Clinging to live, yet dying slow

The last bit of autumn on this wintery day
Somehow seems out of season
Was it forgotton, out of place, lost, confused
Or was it forgotten for a reason
