Alone

an internal dialogue

Alone with my thoughts,
            it's where I like to be,
            so calm and serene,
            just me for company.

            I can unwind and relax,
            with no kids around,
            just me and my thoughts,
            there isn't a sound.

            My time alone,
            is short but sweet,
            I wait for the next time,
            to put up my feet.

            The kids are all here now,
            so it's time for me to go,
            my special moment,
            a time for me to grow!
