Faithful

A short piece about the faithfulness and the love of God!

As I look back on the road I have traveled,
I do confess of times I have strayed
from you.

Times of bad decisions and mistakes I regret.
Times of failures when I got off the beaten track..

Each time I strayed I went further and further.
Testing your patience of that I'm sure, but it
seems the further I went the closer you followed.

I tried to run and hide but from you; I could not escape.
Your eyes watched as I ran to and fro, doing what it took
to escape your grasp and yet, I always found myself back
at your feet.

You were always faithful and never changing.
Into your arms I was always welcomed!
How you could love me of that I'm not
sure but as I lay my head to sleep,
I would see your face with
tears in your eyes and gently you would whisper...

" You see... you are my child and I am your father,
Its you l love and for you my blood was shed"
