My Days At War

um... i wrote this in grade 7 and i think its quite good

I went out to war you see,
I fought for us to be free,
The time I spent out in the trench,
The time I spent wet and drenched.

The days are passing very slow,
how I wish i could be home,
I just have one thing to say,
I hope I live to see next day.
