The Leader

God is the Captain of our life.

You are the Potter I am the clay
From long ago Your Words come without delay
You are my leader I am the follower
It will always be since You are my Teacher.

Your plans for me I can never underestimate
For it was there long ago before daybreak
Things unselfishly made to You I give Praise
My Creator, my Redeemer You gave Your grace.

You stretched out your hands though I’m a sinner
To save me and become my bondage breaker
To serve You faithfully, teach me O Lord
Let my heart and mind armored with Your Sword.

From the ends of the earth You called me
To work in Your vineyard that others may see
To become useful in the service You’ve chosen
That Your Mighty Name be glorified forever amen.

My Lord my God, teach me to follow you
That this life you gave will not be blue
Let me always remember the command you’ve given
Your will be done as it is in heaven.
