A Letter To My Friend/Love

The closeness we have,
it is not by mistake.
The love I give,
is for you to take.

Side by side,
we often sit.
No words spoken,
yet still a gift.

You and I,
so natural and true.
Our relationship,
is well over do.

I understand,
the way you are.
And even still,
you are my shooting star.

The walks, the talks,
the laughter, the fun.
The ones we share,
our "daughter" and "son".
Can you still say,
you still wish me away?

I do not fear,
you hurting me.
It's the thought of losing you,
what frightens me.

If a friendship is all you want,
then friends we shall stay.
But I want you to know,
my love grows stronger everyday.

Side by side,
is where we belong.
If you listen closely,
you can hear our song.
