Out of a Dream

Dabbling in vampire poems :)

Gradually the light fades allowing darkness to pervade
Emotions run high allowing fear to creep in...
Like a thief, stealing over every thought
Leaving the offices of reason no chance to quell,
Fright runs rampant...sapping strength...
From knees that buckle...
Slowly, to kiss the earth in glad relief.
Soon all will be done and fear will fade...
Given over to eternal thirst...
Lusting for darkness, shunning the light.
