A poem of innocence and pain. |
| Take me back to the days of innocence, when the pain of broken dreams was absorbed in life, like the river absorbs a drop of rain; it only increases the thundering roar of life’s expectant rush, raging through canyons rough and wild with suffering and trial; slipping through pools still and deep with contemplation of their own solitude, pouring through channels and byways slow and easy with memories of hope and dream, at last, to join with its final destination, in the endless, energetic sea. |
