a poem written for Kansaspoet's contest |
| He is sleeping in my arms growing so fast, I can't imagine since the day of his birth is still in my mind. But yet, he rests and I am awake guarding over him as he gave me his trust and love and I'm listening to the rain. I'm listening to the rain and its melody is gently weaving me into dreamland where I can play with him, he, who is sleeping in my arms. |
