The Dawn

Poem on Transition

As the dawn breaks the feelings begin rising
The certainty of irreversible change overcoming
The vagueness of my future overwhelming

I tore myself away from the home that always comforted me
The friends who truly understood me
The life which defined me

Transitions are my weakness
But I force myself to face them
Ambition overcoming fear

Until dawn rises upon me
And for a moment fear and loneliness overcome my entire being

Its all part of the constant search for something more
But in the end it is just more of the same
I will always be just me
