Giving up something or someone painful for happiness.

Today; August 19th,
I grew my wings for me to fly free,
Told myself enough was enough,
And I can do bad all by myself,
I ran out the house and down the hall,
I took the chance to give it all up,
If I'm ever gonna find true love,
I need to cut you off
