| The Cold This pain is seeping into my core, at a leisurly pace; it pierces my heart and all that's left is a hollow sound needless to say; I'm Cold The burning beneath my eyes, I wish it gone, along with my spite Unfortunate, it is, that it's a part of me now it shall linger ever more for no matter how hot it gets, I will always feel this Cold As children play and shriek with laughter, I quietly look on, forlorn, For what they have, that warmth, that joy, It would never be mine for sure I'm just so very Cold An ache, a pain, whatever you call it, be sure it's never yours And if it is, there's but one cure, Companionship, hugs and more. It's too late for me, I'm as Cold as Snow |
