There is a girl I know.
She has a story to tell.
She holds a memory hanging around her neck as she begins her story.
It’s a story of life,
Of love,
Of happiness,
Of despair,
Of a life once lived.
This girl knows of this life once lived.
A life that came to an abrupt, untimely end.
She held him close to her heart as she does now.
A token remembrance hangs upon her neck.
A guitar pick passed on from a friend now beyond.
Making the music playing on in her mind.
