Denied

A summer poem of longing.

Blazing sky of blue,
Lazy water; healing water,
Summer once denied,
Approaching footfalls of it's cold jailer.

Charcoal night of dreams,
Flashing message; could it be her?
Laughter in the dark,
Silently speaking to unwitten words.

Unchained yet still bound,
Foolish dreaming; perfect dreaming,
Ever will this be,
Abandoned and broken, falling angel.
