A moment of truth
Realized in a flash
With a single abrupt word.
You perfectly described
The wasted years of my life
That are now nothing but
A cloud of smoke in my past.
Spoken from your lips,
It never sounded so bad,
You changed my life right then.
What was I doing?
Where was I headed?
Without you it surely was nowhere.
