War and it's violence has touched many lives with sorrow and poverty. |
Her dark eyes reflect pain. As a heroine, she labors silently. Worth all agony for a healthy son. But a female child brings shame. Sons are needed in militant Islam. Your lovely girl will be spit upon, then torn painfully by a man at twelve. She was born to breed. There is no life with hope or joy. Only rules she must heed. Your beautiful little girl must cover her face, abomination, a shame. No education, ignored abuse, forever a stained female. You cry bitter tears, she is denied a true love. To speak truth is a sin, about fate of women. Pray your daughter bears men. I can understand how a woman, giving birth to a girl, could softly cover her mouth. Then pray for forgiveness until breath is no more. By Kathie Stehr |
