A lyrical and thought provoking poem about advertising. |
| I look upon a vast and wide, pity There’s no space in the open, city Lights dazzling hypnotizing, glares Through an open window, stares In dazzling wonderment upon empty, dreams Filling empty thoughts with subtle, schemes To work on the infantile, eyes Coveting the transparent scene, lies Corrupting the gratuitous desire, truth Is bought inside the unobtainable, couth Clouds our true necessity, charity For the amputee laying, parity To our situation, disgusted We turn away, adjusted Our noses find comfort, outside The want-turning stomachs, inside We are the dead, soulless Dreaded desireless empty selfish thoughtless greedy apathetic zombies, We are dead. |
