| Why do I wear this frown The scowl cast upon my face, Why do I look for stormy clouds When the sun is shining all over the place. I need to smell the flowers And see the clearness of the sky, Ride the smile fighting to get out Soaring with happiness way up high. The many gifts I have Are laid out before me, Camoflauged in the daily battles I just have to open my eyes and see. Blessed with a wondrous family And the ease of perfect health, Why do I not count this As an asset of ultimate wealth? Breath taken for granted The gift of life assumed, There are no second chances Not even if you are exumed. I can feel the smile forming And just need to let it out, Allow it to flow freely Without worry or doubt. Happiness is in living The blessings of people who love, Cast aside the unhappy feeling And thank the man above. I see the flowers And feel the warmth of the sun, My family, my health, and love With happiness, I have won! |
